Best Offshore Sportsbooks is an independent comparison site for US bettors looking at offshore sportsbooks — sportsbooks licensed outside the United States that still accept American customers. This page explains who we write for, how we research the sportsbooks we list, how we get paid, and the limits of what any review site can tell you about an operator that sits outside US regulation.

Our current focus is new offshore sportsbooks: newer brands, rebrands and recently launched apps that are still building a payment record. That focus shapes everything here. A new sportsbook can offer sharper pricing and bigger sign-up offers than an established name, and it can also disappear. We try to be honest about both sides.

Where offshore sportsbooks actually stand for US bettors

Every operator we cover is licensed somewhere outside the US — jurisdictions like Curaçao, Panama and Costa Rica are the usual ones. None of them is licensed or regulated by a US state gaming commission or board, and accepting US players is not the same thing as being authorized to serve them.

That puts offshore sports betting in a legal grey area for American bettors. Federal law has historically targeted operators rather than individual players, and several states have laws that address unlicensed online gambling in different ways. Some states — New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado and others — license online sportsbooks and racebooks directly through their own regulators; many still restrict or prohibit online betting entirely; a few draw a line between sports wagering and online casino play. Rules also change. Check your own state's current position before you open an account, and treat any tax or legal question as a matter for a qualified professional rather than something you settle from a comparison page.

What we will never do is tell you offshore betting sites are "legal," "regulated" or "safe" for US players. They are not covered by US state player protections. There is no state regulator to complain to, no guaranteed segregation of player funds, no state-run dispute resolution, and no guarantee that a withdrawal will be paid. Responsible gambling tools and self-exclusion programs are often thinner than at licensed US operators. Those are the terms on which offshore online gambling operates, and pretending otherwise would make this site useless.

How we research and rank sportsbooks

We research and verify; we do not claim to have deposited, wagered or withdrawn at these sites. Ratings on this site are editorial scores assigned by us — they are not customer review averages and they are not test results. Where a sportsbook advertises something we could not independently confirm, we say it is advertised.

The factors we weigh, roughly in order of how much they move a score for a new sportsbook:

  1. Track record of paying. How long the brand has operated, whether it is tied to an established group, and what the public record of payout complaints looks like. A new site with no history is scored cautiously, not generously.
  2. Payout speed and reliability. Stated processing times, payout limits per method and per week, withdrawal fees, and whether crypto payouts are handled separately from bank wire or money transfer.
  3. Odds and pricing. Point spread and totals juice on main US markets, moneyline pricing, whether reduced juice is genuinely offered or limited to select lines, and how futures and parlays are priced.
  4. Market coverage. NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college sports, soccer, golf, MMA, tennis, plus prop bets, same-game parlays (SGP), live and in-play betting, and whether a racebook is attached.
  5. Betting limits. Whether the sportsbook supports higher betting limits on major markets, and how quickly it restricts winning accounts.
  6. Banking. Cryptocurrency betting support, bank card deposits, bank wire, money transfer, and voucher or player transfer options — and which of those actually work for American customers in USD.
  7. Bonuses. Welcome bonuses, sign-up bonuses and reload bonuses judged on rollover, not headline size.
  8. Verification, security and support. KYC requirements, site security, and whether support is reachable by more than a contact form.
  9. Responsible gambling provision. Deposit limits, cool-off and self-exclusion, where offered.

Commission never buys a position. An operator cannot pay to be ranked higher, to have a drawback removed, or to avoid being dropped. Rankings change when the underlying research changes.

How this site makes money

Best Offshore Sportsbooks is free to read. When you follow a link to a sportsbook and open an account, we may earn a commission from that operator. That is how the site is funded. It does not affect the order of our lists, the editorial ratings or the criticism in a review, and we publish drawbacks for every brand we recommend — including the top-ranked one.

Three sportsbooks that show how we assess

Bonus figures below are as advertised by the operator and checked on Sep 27, 2026. Offers change without notice, and terms on the operator's site override anything written here. Every welcome offer comes with rollover, minimum odds and a time limit — read them before you deposit.

Lucky Rebel — our top-rated new entrant

Lucky Rebel sits at the top of our list (editorial rating 10.0) because it is the clearest example of what a new offshore sportsbook can offer: an aggressive welcome package, modern mobile browser betting, and broad coverage across the US majors alongside soccer and combat sports. Advertised welcome offer: 125% up to $1,250 plus a $50 free bet, for new accounts only, subject to the operator's rollover requirement, minimum odds and claim window — confirm those figures on the sign-up page, because they are the part that decides whether the offer is worth anything.

The limitation: it is new. There is no long public payment history to lean on, and that is the single most important thing a bettor can have on an offshore sportsbook. Our rating reflects the product; it cannot reflect years of payout evidence that does not exist yet. If you use it, start with amounts you can afford to lose and make a withdrawal early to see how the process runs.

Bovada — the long-running comparison point

Bovada (9.8) earns its place for the opposite reason: it is one of the most familiar names to US bettors, with a wide spread of NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL markets, props, same-game parlays, live betting, a racebook and a casino alongside. For readers who want the longest-standing brand on the list as a benchmark against newer arrivals, this is it. Advertised welcome bonus: 50% up to $250, new customers only, with rollover and minimum odds conditions attached.

The limitation: the headline offer is modest next to the newer sites, pricing on some markets is not the sharpest available, and Bovada does not accept customers from every US state — check the restricted-state list before signing up rather than after.

BetOnline — breadth of markets and banking

BetOnline (9.8) is here for market depth and banking range: extensive prop and futures coverage, in-play betting, esports, plus crypto alongside card and wire options. It tends to suit bettors who want something outside the standard menu — obscure leagues, deeper props, or higher limits than a recreational-focused site will take. Advertised welcome bonus: $250 in free bets, new players only, with wagering requirements, qualifying-bet terms and an expiry period.

The limitation: the interface is dense and takes some learning, and fees or minimums on non-crypto withdrawals can make small payouts uneconomic. Crypto is usually the faster route, which carries its own price-volatility risk between the moment you withdraw and the moment you convert.

All offers are as advertised and all are subject to rollover, minimum odds, time limits and eligibility rules set by the operator. A 200% or 125% match with heavy rollover can be worth less than a 50% match with light terms — compare the conditions, not the percentage.

What "money in, money out" looks like offshore

There is no cost to open an account or read our reviews. Your real cost is what you deposit, plus any fees on the way in and out. Methods vary by operator and can be withdrawn at short notice, so verify on the cashier page rather than assuming.

  • Cryptocurrency — usually the fastest and cheapest route both ways at offshore sportsbooks, often with the highest payout limits and the lowest fees. The trade-off is exchange-rate movement between deposit, wager and cash-out.
  • Bank card deposits — convenient, but declines from US issuers are common, and cards are rarely available for withdrawals.
  • Bank wire — used for larger payouts, typically slower and fee-bearing, and generally requires full KYC.
  • Money transfer — offered by some sportsbooks for US customers, often with per-transaction caps and a fee.
  • Voucher or player transfer — moves a balance between accounts on the same platform; check whether it counts as a withdrawal for bonus purposes.

Expect weekly or monthly payout limits, a free-withdrawal allowance followed by fees, and identity verification before a first cash-out even where KYC is described as light. And expect the possibility of delay: with no US regulator behind you, a slow or refused payment is a real risk, not a theoretical one.

What these sportsbooks actually offer

Coverage differs by brand, but the shape is consistent across the list: US majors (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and college), international soccer, golf, MMA, tennis and motorsport; bet types running from point spread, moneyline and totals through futures, parlays, same-game parlays and prop bets; and live or in-play markets with cash-out on some sites. Several operators attach a racebook for horse racing, with its own rules and rebate structures.

Most of these brands also run adjacent product lines beside the sportsbook — online casino sections with slots and table games, live-dealer rooms, poker and esports. They share a wallet with the sportsbook but rarely share bonus terms: casino rollover is usually calculated differently from sports rollover, and sports free bets often cannot be used on casino play at all. If UK casino comparison is what you're after, we cover that separately on our non-GamStop casino reviews.

Age, eligibility and gambling safely

You must be at least 21 to use this site and the sportsbooks we list, or 18 where an operator sets that as its minimum and your jurisdiction permits it. Nothing here is aimed at anyone younger. Operators also restrict certain US states and certain countries — eligibility is theirs to decide and it can change.

Betting is entertainment that costs money. It is not income, not a way out of financial trouble, and no tip, system or price is a lock. Only stake what you can afford to lose, don't chase losses, and don't bet to manage stress. If gambling is becoming a problem for you or someone close to you, call 1-800-GAMBLER for free, confidential help, 24/7. Offshore sportsbooks may not provide the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools that state-licensed operators are required to offer — our responsible gambling resources cover what to do when the site itself doesn't help.

Corrections, questions and how to reach us

We date our findings and revisit them as offers and payment terms change; the figures above were checked on Sep 27, 2026. If you spot something out of date, or you've had an experience with one of the sportsbooks we list — a fast payout or a stalled one — tell us through the contact page. Reader reports don't change a rating on their own, but patterns in them do send us back to a review. The site's usage terms are set out in our terms and conditions.

If you're deciding where to start: weigh the payment record above the bonus, the rollover above the headline percentage, and your own state's rules above everything. Read a couple of full reviews before you deposit anywhere.
